HCMC – Nguyen Manh Cuong, head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the HCMC Party Committee, has been elected vice chairman of the city’s People’s Committee for the 10th tenure (2021-2026).
He received 183 out of 184 votes from attending delegates at the second session of the HCMC People’s Council (2021–2026 term) on the morning of July 24, securing an approval rate of 99.46%.
Nguyen Manh Cuong was born on June 1, 1979, and hails from An Giang Province. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing, and has completed advanced-level political theory training
He held various key positions, including secretary of the HCMC Youth Union, secretary of the former Thu Duc District Party Committee, secretary of the former District 5 Party Committee, chief of office of the HCMC Party Committee, head of the Mass Mobilization Commission of the HCMC Party Committee, and later head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the HCMC Party Committee after the administrative reorganization at the provincial level.
