HCMC – When HCMC eases mobility restrictions, people who are fully vaccinated, aged under 65 and have no underlying health conditions would be eligible to travel to work, supermarkets, hospitals and take domestic business trips, according to the municipal health authority’s draft plan on the Covid-19 green pass requirements.
The HCMC Department of Health on September 8 sent the HCMC government an anti-Covid plan after September 15. It put forward social distancing measures associated with the Covid green pass.
Specifically, the city is set to relax mobility restrictions step by step based on the Covid risk assessment, Covid data and the healthcare system’s capacity to restore manufacturing activities, the provision of essential services and the circulation of goods.
People with a Covid green pass can join a wide range of social activities depending on the Covid situation.
Under the draft plan, to get a green pass, people should have received two doses of the vaccine and spent enough time building protection against the coronavirus, for example two weeks after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines.
Besides this, people who have been infected with Covid over the past six months are eligible for a green pass.
If the city switches to enforcing the social distancing order under the prime minister’s Directive 15, recovered Covid patients or fully vaccinated people aged under 65 and without underlying medical problems could join social events in public places, go to school, to work, travel or take business trips to other parts of the country or even abroad.
As for coronavirus patients who have recovered; people who are fully vaccinated, are aged over 65 and have underlying health conditions or immunodeficiency; and those who received just one Covid vaccine shot, could participate in outdoor public activities and travel within the country provided they comply with anti-virus measures.
If the city follows Directive 16, recovered Covid patients or fully vaccinated people aged under 65 and without underlying medical problems will be allowed to visit public places, go to school, to work, or take domestic business trips. Meanwhile, recovered coronavirus patients and fully vaccinated residents aged over 65, having underlying health conditions and immunodeficiency should refrain from participating in public events, going to school or to work, and have to be given work with limited contact with people and follow anti-virus measures.
