HCMC – Work will start on major projects in transportation, urban development and logistics sectors in HCMC this month, coinciding with Vietnam’s Reunification Day, April 30.

They include the N3 ramp at the An Phu interchange with an investment of VND3.4 trillion and the 1.69-hectare Tan Chanh Hiep Park. In addition to these, seven other projects are slated to break ground within the month, including the Ho Tram – Long Thanh airport urban expressway, the Nha Rong – Khanh Hoi port area and the Ho Chi Minh Museum expansion.

Other significant developments entering the construction phase include the Thu Thiem administrative center and central lake park complex with an estimated investment of VND30.8 trillion, alongside the 6km-long Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh – Thu Thiem section). The city’s logistics capacity will also be bolstered by Cai Mep Gemadept – Terminal Link’s second phase and the Cai Mep Ha general and container port.

Most notably, the Can Gio international transshipment terminal with investment capital of VND128 trillion is expected to become a strategic asset, enhancing HCMC’s position as a regional shipping and transshipment hub.
