HCMC – On May 1, the historical landmarks in HCMC, such as the Independence Palace and the War Remnants Museum, have attracted large numbers of local and international visitors during the extended Reunification Day (April 30) – International Labor Day (May 1) holiday.
This year’s five-day holiday, combined with a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification, has turned HCMC into a major travel destination. Festive energy filled the streets, especially around sites of historical and symbolic significance.
