HCMC – The entire HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway was closed this evening after a crash involving multiple vehicles.
The local media quoted the operator of the expressway, saying nine vehicles, including cars, commercial vehicles and trucks, collided while they were slowly traveling down the Long Thanh Bridge toward the Long Phuoc toll station in the direction from Dong Nai Province to HCMC.
A dashcam video that captured the moment of the crash showed that a container truck appeared to lose control, hitting multiple vehicles in front of it. The video was posted on the news website of Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper.
The accident caused traffic to grind to a halt. Nine injured people were taken to hospital.
