HCMC – Vice Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Van Dung has put forth a proposal to revive helicopter tours to attract visitors to HCMC.

This proposal is part of the solutions aimed at developing the city’s tourism sector in 2024, as unveiled by the vice chairman during a conference held on January 10 by the Department of Tourism.

Helicopter tours in HCMC were first introduced in 2022, but the operation of this service faced certain obstacles, leading to its suspension.

The vice chairman underlined the need for relevant authorities to find ways to transform helicopter tours into an appealing and sustainable tourism product for HCMC.

On April 12, 2022, a survey helicopter flight, offering panoramic views of the city, was conducted with the participation of major tourism companies in HCMC. Following the survey flight, the city introduced five helicopter flights during the 2022 Reunification Day and International Labor Day holidays, with each lasting 40 minutes and accommodating 16 guests.
