Must read

HCMC – HCMC will not quarantine foreign experts, investors, managers and skilled workers coming to Vietnam to work in seven provinces comprising Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Long An and Tien Giang, the city’s Department of Health announced.

According to an urgent dispatch signed by deputy director of the HCMC Health Department Nguyen Huu Hung, these provinces will be responsible for quarantining the foreign experts invited by their agencies or enterprises after they arrive at HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

The health departments of these provinces should work with the local centers for disease control to transport the experts to their localities and quarantine them in accordance with the prevailing regulations.

They should inform the HCMC Center for Disease Control and the International Health Quarantine Center of HCMC of the arrival time so that these centers can assist them in receiving the experts at the airport.

Other cities and provinces that want their experts to be quarantined in HCMC after they arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport will have to send a request to the HCMC People’s Committee.

After obtaining an approval document from the HCMC People’s Committee, these cities and provinces should contact hospitals in the city that have been assigned to serve as quarantine centers to register for quarantine.

After that, they are required to send a file comprising approval documents from the HCMC People’s Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s Immigration Department, a list of experts, information on the registered hotels and the experts’ flights and arrival time to the HCMC Center for Disease Control, the International Health Quarantine Center of HCMC or the districts’ medical centers.
