HCMC – The government of HCMC convened a task force meeting today, December 4, to address hurdles faced by five long-delayed projects, aiming to accelerate urban development and boost the city’s budget revenue.
The projects include the Lotte Properties HCMC smart complex in Thu Thiem New Urban Area, a 14.8-hectare land project in An Phu by Nguyen Phuong Company, and other developments in districts such as 7 and Go Vap.
According to the HCMC People’s Committee Office, resolving these obstacles will not only generate significant revenue but also help investors expedite project progress, prevent land wastage, and align urban development with the city’s master plan.
One key objective is to finalize the issuance of land use rights certificates for 498 apartments at the I-Home project, ensuring legal protections for residents.
The Department of Planning and Investment will spearhead efforts to review and monitor the resolution of project challenges through regular task force meetings, ensuring adherence to timelines.
The task force will also establish frameworks for resolving similar issues in other projects, empowering departments, agencies, and district-level committees to proactively address challenges and improve public administration efficiency.
Formed to accelerate investment project progress, the task force is led by the Chairman of the People’s Committee and includes representatives from key departments. To date, it has convened 10 meetings, resolving issues for 33 projects and directing relevant units to review 41 others that do not meet conditions for commercial housing development.
