HCMC – HCMC has secured the availability of various vaccines for its expanded immunization campaign, ensuring an abundant stock for children across vaccination centers.
This announcement follows the city’s receipt of 13,000 doses of the five-in-one vaccine on April 19 from the national expanded immunization program. These vaccines have been dispersed to 22 health centers across districts, communes, and Thu Duc City for children’s vaccination, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
Following disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, HCMC, along with other provinces and cities nationwide, had a hard time ensuring adequate vaccine doses in stock.
In response, the HCMC Department of Health has proactively developed plans to replenish various vaccines in the expanded immunization program for children, aiming to enhance immunity levels and prevent infectious diseases’ spread.
Vaccination coverage for children under one year old in the city now exceeds 95%.
