HCMC streets clear ahead of Tet

HCMC – Many streets in HCMC saw less traffic on the morning of the 29th and final day of the old lunar year (February 16), with vehicles moving smoothly even during the 7 a.m. peak hour.
At several major intersections leading toward the city center, vehicles pass through traffic lights within a single cycle, without usual congestion. Key gateway routes in the eastern and western parts of the city also remain unobstructed – PHOTOS: LE VU
Traffic flow is steady across multiple locations. Thanh Thai Street is clear, while the Dan Chu Roundabout sees smooth traffic at 7:30 a.m. The Ly Thai To Roundabout no longer experiences peak-hour crowding, including on the Dien Bien Phu section connecting to the roundabout

Le Hong Phong Street extension also remains open, while Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street toward the Independence Palace and Cach Mang Thang Tam Street toward Bay Hien Intersection sees light traffic at around 8:15 a.m.

In contrast, traditional markets remain busy, with active buying and selling
On the final day of the old lunar year, many people visit newly renovated and decorated Tet locations or stop at sidewalk cafes to enjoy the holiday atmosphere
