HCMC – HCMC has approved a design for a four-level interchange at the intersection of Beltway No. 2 and Pham Van Dong Street in Thu Duc City.

The project covers a 2.8 km section between Vo Nguyen Giap and Pham Van Dong streets and requires a total investment of over VND4.5 trillion.

The design features three overpasses and an underpass. The first overpass will have two branches with six lanes crossing Linh Dong, Pham Van Dong, Kha Van Can, and Rach Ngang.

The second overpass will provide a two-lane right turn from Beltway No. 2 onto Pham Van Dong Street, leading towards Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

The underpass will facilitate a two-lane left turn from Pham Van Dong Street toward National Highway 1. Additionally, a two-way overpass with four lanes on Pham Van Dong Street is planned for later construction.

The HCMC Department of Transport will oversee the project’s execution, ensuring compliance with regulations, while the Department of Planning and Architecture will organize an architectural competition to ensure the interchange meets technical and aesthetic standards.

This project is a key part of completing Beltway No. 2, with the remaining 14 km sections in Thu Duc City and Binh Chanh District expected to be finished by 2026.
