HCMC to launch interprovincial bus station transfer service

HCMC – HCMC is set to introduce a passenger shuttle bus service connecting the interprovincial bus stations citywide.

The service, which is expected to begin next year, will be first available at the new Eastern Bus Station and later expanded to other stations.

The Saigon Transport Mechanical Corporation (Samco) has been assigned to organize and manage these transfer services, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

Passengers will be able to book the shuttle service through a mobile app. Pick-up and drop-off points will include bus stations, shopping centers and hospitals.

The shuttle bus will operate round the clock, including public holidays.

In the first phase, the shuttle bus service will operate at the new Eastern Bus Station in Thu Duc City, covering districts 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Tan Binh, Tan Phu and Go Vap, and Thu Duc City.

The second phase will extend the service to the remaining bus stations, including the Western Bus Station, the old Eastern Bus Station, An Suong, and Nga Tu Ga.
