HCMC – HCMC will continue using its current land price lists until the end of 2025, reported the local media.
Bui Minh Thanh, vice chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, has directed that the existing land prices from the former localities remain in effect until further notice or replacement decisions are issued.
The former HCMC will apply Decision 79/2024, the former Binh Duong Province will use Decision 63/2024, and the former Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province will follow Decision 26/2024.
The city’s Department of Agriculture and Environment has been assigned to finalize a draft directive and gather feedback from relevant departments.
The department will also lead efforts to formulate a new land price list under the 2024 Land Law. The new list is expected to come into force in 2026.
Authorities have requested that legal foundations, advantages, and disadvantages of proposed methods be clearly outlined. The process must comply with regulations on procedures, evaluation, and data collection.
Land registration offices have been told to prioritize the new pricing framework as a key task through late 2025, with detailed plans and adequate staffing.
The city’s Tax Department has been asked to expedite land use fee collections. Relevant agencies will coordinate to resolve procedural issues and ensure smooth budget contributions.
