HCMC – Travel firms in HCMC are introducing tour packages designed for all age groups, tapping into the growing trend of inter-generational travel as families increasingly opt for shared vacation experiences.
A recent survey by local travel companies showed a rising demand for unique destinations and experiences that allow families to spend quality time together, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
In response, companies like Saigontourist, Vietravel, and Vietluxtour have curated diverse domestic tours, including scenic treks in Vietnam’s northern mountainous regions and relaxing beach getaways in the south.
Many agencies are also promoting eco-conscious travel options, such as tree planting and wildlife rehabilitation programs. Vietravel, for example, offers the “Net Zero” initiative in the central city of Danang, aimed at reducing tourism’s environmental impact.
To attract families, agencies are providing early bird discounts, group rates, and flexible payment plans. Itineraries are being tailored to accommodate the varied interests of different generations, ensuring memorable experiences for all.
Online travel platforms like Agoda have also noted the growing popularity of domestic travel.
The festive season is a time for families and friends to come together and explore new destinations, said Vu Ngoc Lam, Agoda’s country director in Vietnam. As travel costs fluctuate, travelers are actively seeking deals and promotions to make the most of their trips, he added.
