HCMC – The HCMC Election Committee has requested that businesses not arrange overtime work on March 15 to allow workers to vote in the upcoming National Assembly and local council elections.

In Official Dispatch No. 183/UBBC issued on March 3, the committee asked the city’s Labor Federation and Department of Home Affairs to coordinate with relevant authorities to notify employers of the request.

The notice applies to companies operating in export processing zones, industrial parks, the Saigon Hi-Tech Park and the Hi-Tech Agricultural Park, as well as other production and business establishments across the city.

Agencies and local administrations have been instructed to report implementation results to the Election Committee through the Department of Home Affairs by March 6.

On March 15, voters in HCMC will elect 38 deputies to the 16th National Assembly, 125 members of the HCMC People’s Council, and 4,280 representatives to commune-, ward- and special administrative unit-level People’s Councils for the 2026–2031 term.
