HCMC – HCMC officially launched its 2025 tourism campaign on January 1 with a welcome ceremony held in honor of international tourists at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The HCMC Department of Tourism, in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines and Tan Son Nhat International Airport, organized the event, transforming the fourth and fifth baggage carousels in the international terminal into a showcase of Vietnamese culture. Visitors were greeted with traditional folk music performances, tea ceremonies, calligraphy demonstrations, paper fan painting, and locally crafted Tet gifts.
As a special highlight, eight passengers on Vietnam Airlines flight VN10 from Paris to HCMC were awarded return business-class tickets for domestic flights. Additional gifts were given to five lucky passengers arriving on flights JL079 from Tokyo and CX767 from Hong Kong.
The event marks the start of a series of tourism promotion activities in 2025, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). It underscores the city’s commitment to enhancing its cultural appeal and boosting Vietnam’s tourism industry in the coming year.
