HCMC – HCMC and the World Economic Forum (WEF) have issued a joint statement to advance smart manufacturing and responsible industrial transformation as part of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025.
Both sides agreed to work together on an initiative promoting smart manufacturing and responsible industrial practices in HCMC, according to the Vietnam News Agency. The collaboration is expected to contribute to the global development of the Lighthouse Operating System (Lighthouse OS), a WEF-led platform supporting digital and sustainable industrial transformation.
Under the agreement, WEF will support HCMC in developing a strategic approach to smart manufacturing and piloting related solutions in the city. The cooperation will include practical tools, capacity-building programs, and knowledge-sharing activities.
The HCMC Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR) and WEF’s Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chain Center (AMSC) will jointly prepare implementation plans and carry out activities under the Lighthouse OS initiative in Vietnam.
The partnership marks a significant step in connecting Vietnam with global innovation networks and represents one of the first cooperation initiatives between Vietnam and WEF focused on smart manufacturing transformation in developing economies.
