HCMC’s public transport expands with 500 e-bikes

HCMC – Starting today till the end of this month, the HCMC Management Center of Public Transport and Tri Nam Group are integrating a 500-unit electric bicycle fleet into the city’s public tranport system.

Also in the period, the center offers commuters a 15-minute free trial ride via the TNGo-HCM app at the docking station in the corner of Nguyen Hue and Le Loi streets in the downtown area. This rollout complements the conventional bike-sharing network operational since late 2021.

Following the promotional period, rental rates are expected to range from VND10,000 for 15 minutes to VND110,000 for four hours. Authorities will monitor real-time usage and passenger feedback to further expand the service area, reinforcing the city’s commitment to modernizing its urban mobility infrastructure.

Before such date, the operators provide 500 public bicycles across 52 docking stations around the town.
