HCMC – The Ministry of Health has asked localities to establish teams to inspect the import and trade of Covid-19 test kits and the prices of testing services.
According to the ministry, many people have complained about the high prices of quick test kits and RT-PCR testing services at clinics, especially private ones, the local media reported.
To promptly detect and handle those taking advantage of the pandemic to make a profit and raise the prices of Covid-19 testing services, the Ministry of Health asked teams to conduct unscheduled inspections at units which import, produce, trade and use equipment and supplies for pandemic prevention and control, especially test kits.
Inspection teams must also review the procurement process and procedures, quality and prices of these products as well as the legal status of clinics.
Violations must be handled immediately and the handling of violations must be publicized on mass media.
