HCMC – Hue City is accelerating plans to complete 3,200 social homes this year to meet the rising demand for affordable housing.

By late March 2026, construction had begun on two projects providing nearly 1,000 units. These include the Bau Va (Eco Hill) social housing project in Thuy Xuan Ward and a social housing development in the Chan May–Lang Co Economic Zone.

The Bau Va project covers about 8,674 square meters and will deliver 454 units, with total investment of nearly VND530 billion. Developed by F1 Homes JSC, the site is located near Hue railway station, Da Vien and Nguyen Hoang bridges, and the southern bank of the Huong River.

Tran Huu Thuy Giang, vice chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, said the project is expected to help address urgent housing demand. Authorities have instructed contractors to ensure construction progress, quality, workplace safety, and environmental standards.

The Chan May project, backed by Kim Long Motor Hue JSC and Futa Land JSC, has total capital of more than VND578 billion. Covering nearly 1.9 hectares with total floor space of 51,000 square meters, it will provide 460 units. The project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027 and is expected to accommodate workers and engineers in the Chan May–Lang Co Economic Zone.

In 2026, Hue plans to launch three additional social housing projects with combined capital of nearly VND4.4 trillion.
