Indian Consulate celebrates Gandhi’s birth anniversary in HCMC

HCMC – The Consulate General of India in HCMC yesterday, October 2, held a meeting to mark the 155th birth anniversary of India’s national hero Mahatma Gandhi.

The event took place in District 1, gathering Indian expats and local participants.

Madan Mohan Sethi, Indian consul general in HCMC, praised Gandhi’s legacy of promoting peace and equality, noting its continued global significance. Born in 1869, the Indian leader’s message of non-violence and social justice remains influential worldwide.

The event served as a platform for cultural exchange and strengthened bilateral relations between Vietnam and India.
