HCMC – The Consulate General of Indonesia in HCMC opened a tourism exhibition titled “Indonesia: A Gateway to Paradise” on November 30 at Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien, promoting destinations and travel products to Vietnamese and expatriate visitors.
The event was part of activities marking the 70th anniversary of Vietnam–Indonesia diplomatic relations and followed a business-to-business meeting between travel firms from both countries held a day earlier.
Consul General Carolina Tinangon said the exhibition was designed to boost tourism cooperation and create more opportunities for Vietnamese travelers to explore Indonesia. She noted strong interest from both sides during the earlier B2B discussions.
Six travel agencies from the Indonesian Tour and Travel Association (ASITA) Bali Chapter participated, offering packages ranging from health and sports tourism to pre-wedding photography tours, luxury boat trips from Bali to Komodo Island, and other themed travel experiences.
The exhibition also featured cultural performances, including Indonesian dances presented by university students in HCMC, quizzes and other promotional activities. It aimed to strengthen people-to-people connections and promote Indonesia as a diverse and accessible destination for Vietnamese travelers.
