INSEE Vietnam has been actively engaged in efforts to support the communities surrounding its operations, focusing on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at sustainable development. The company’s efforts in 2024 have spanned across three main areas: infrastructure development, community development, and educational development.

For the Infrastructure Development pillar, INSEE has partnered with various organizations to pave public roads in rural areas and supported over VND500 million to build “Low-income houses” for disadvantaged families in Kien Giang Province.

Specifically, apart from the donation of over VND500 million, INSEE Vietnam called on partner Nippon Paint (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. to co-sponsor five Low-income homes. At the end of September 2024, these homes were handed over to the poverty-stricken families in the presence of leaders from Kien Luong District in Kien Giang and representatives from local agencies, unions, and communes.

INSEE also collaborated with Kien Giang Radio and Television station to build two educational support houses in Vinh Thuan Commune, Kien Giang Province, with a budget of VND80 million per house. This activity is a meaningful initiative aimed at helping underprivileged students and families in need of housing by providing them with safe, comfortable homes. These new homes will provide the families with motivation to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives, while their children can continue their education with peace of mind.

INSEE also worked with universities on the Green Summer Campaign, donating 250 tons of cement to construct rural roads.

In terms of Community Development, the company continued to organize regular annual activities aimed at promoting social welfare, improving the lives of underprivileged people living around INSEE’s plant and grinding stations.

Notable activities include providing nearly 1,000 health insurance cards to disadvantaged students, donating 800 gifts to underprivileged families during the Lunar New Year, giving 5,200 gifts to children for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and contributing VND202 million to support northern residents affected by typhoon Yagi.

Most recently, INSEE also sponsored 37,000 Melaleuca Cajuputi Powell trees, and 150 Golden oak and Dipterocarpus alatus trees for the Phu My Species and Habitat Conservation Area in Kien Giang Province to green the protective embankments, as part of its biodiversity conservation plan in Vietnam. In the coming time, INSEE will organize community health checkups for the people in four communes in Kien Luong District.

Regarding the Educational Development pillar, INSEE maintains programs for training and developing the next generation. Specifically, INSEE has implemented the Enterprise Vocational Education (EVE) program for 23 years, selecting and training over 20 students annually to enhance vocational skills for young people in Kien Giang, contributing to the local labor force development.

Earlier, INSEE Vietnam’s Enterprise Vocational Education (EVE) program won the prestigious “Excellent HR 2023” award in the Training & Development category. This award was organized by Anphabe in collaboration with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and several foreign business associations in Vietnam.

Throughout more than 20 years of the EVE program, INSEE has partnered with Kien Giang College to design a curriculum that tightly integrates theoretical teaching with practical training, helping students improve their skills while gaining new knowledge. Participants are mainly 18-year-olds and above, who have graduated from high school and live in Kien Luong District, Kien Giang Province.

Additionally, the journey of bringing the INSEE Prize scientific playground to architecture and construction students nationwide continues. The 2024 INSEE Prize officially launched on March 28, 2024, as a scientific competition for architecture and construction students across the country, with total prizes exceeding VND300 million. This marks the 16th year the competition has been held nationwide. The INSEE Prize 2024 Finals are scheduled for Q4 2024.

Previously, the 10th champion project of the INSEE Prize competition, “Mang Non” Reading Station by students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University, was realized, providing a library-like venue for over 600 students and teachers at Binh Tri Primary & Secondary School, Kien Luong District, Kien Giang Province, to learn, read, and play.
