HCMC – The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) has opened applications for the Ospitalità Italiana 2026–2027 certification, part of Italy’s effort to expand the presence and recognition of authentic Italian food businesses in Vietnam.
The program targets Italian restaurants, pizzerias, and gelaterias operating in the country, offering certification that verifies compliance with Italian culinary and hospitality standards. Applications are open until March 31, 2026.
ICHAM is implementing the initiative locally in cooperation with Unioncamere and the Italian National Institute for Tourism Research (IS.NA.R.T.), which created the Ospitalità Italiana trademark to promote Italian agri-food products and strengthen the global position of Italian cuisine.
The certification allows participating businesses to join an international network spanning 60 countries and more than 250 million customers. Certified establishments are also promoted through official platforms and can use the trademark in marketing, helping them differentiate in competitive food markets and attract international customers.
The program includes application, inspection, and assessment stages before certification is granted. The recognition remains valid for two years.
In Vietnam, five Italian dining establishments received the certification in 2024, including dragonCELLO and Gelato Italia in Hanoi City, and Bella Italia, CantYna, and Margherí in HCMC.
