HCMC – Le Tri Thong and Dang Thi Lai, two leaders of Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC (HOSE: PNJ), have registered to offload a total of 1.1 million PNJ shares, according to the local media.
Le Tri Thong, vice chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of PNJ, registered to sell 500,000 shares out of his total holdings of over 1.7 million shares. Transactions will be made from October 14 to November 12.
Once the share sale is completed, Thong’s ownership in PNJ will drop from 0.5% to 0.36% of the charter capital.
Dang Thi Lai, board member and chief financial officer at PNJ, registered to sell 600,000 shares. The share sale is expected to take place from October 14 to October 30.
After this transaction, her ownership in PNJ will fall from 2.46 million shares, or 0.73%, to 1.86 million shares, or 0.55% of charter capital.
PNJ shares closed the trading session on October 10 up by 1.17% to VND95,500 per share, with a trading volume of over 1.2 million shares. Since the beginning of the year, the shares have risen by around 17%.
On the southern bourse, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange rose by 4.51 points, or 0.35%, at 1.286,36 points, with 163 stocks advancing and 206 declining.
Around 720 million shares worth VND18.5 trillion were transacted, up by 6% in volume and 8% in value compared to the previous session. Block deal transactions accounted for 54.7 million shares worth VND1.3 trillion.
In the VN30 basket, 14 stocks advanced, 14 declined and SSB and GVR remained flat. FPT and MSN were the key contributors to market growth, with FPT rising 4.7% to VND141,700 and MSN increasing 3.9% to VND80,000.
Notably, AMN fell by 8.33% to VND2,200, with a trading volume of 1.86 million shares.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index lost 0.48 point, or 0.21%, against the previous day, at 231.29 points. There were more than 43.5 million shares changing hands, with a total value of VND834.3 billion.
