HCMC – Keppel Ltd. and Samsung Vina Electronics Co. Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate in integrating smart and innovative technology solutions into Vietnam’s real estate sector.
The cooperation aims to explore the application of smart technologies in the real estate sector, combining the strengths of Keppel and Samsung to deliver sustainable solutions that enhance the quality of life for residents and tenants.
As part of this partnership, Keppel will work with Samsung to incorporate smart technologies in commercial and residential developments in Vietnam.
Samsung will provide technical expertise, cutting-edge technology, and extensive research and development capabilities to support these projects. This includes offering technical assistance, conducting training sessions and workshops, and contributing manpower, equipment, and devices for feasibility studies and project implementation.
The MOU was signed on September 16 by Joseph Low, President of Real Estate (Vietnam) at Keppel Ltd., and Lee Chung Lyong, CEO and President of Samsung Vina Electronics Co. Ltd.
In related news, Keppel Ltd. is among Singapore companies involved in the “SG Community Cares” initiative, providing essential support to communities affected by typhoon Yagi. These companies have pledged a total of VND1.9 billion in collaboration with the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam.
As part of its educational support in Vietnam, Keppel also launched the “Bytes for Future” initiative on September 17. The initiative aims to equip students with digital tools and knowledge, enhancing their education and preparing them for the future.
The launch ceremonies, held at Dong Khoi and Bien Gioi Secondary Schools in Chau Thanh District, Tay Ninh Province of Vietnam, were officiated by Nguyen Chi Trung, head of Education & Training Department of Chau Thanh District, and Joseph Low, President, Real Estate (Vietnam), Keppel Ltd.
Under the initiative, Keppel donated 80 computers and four air-conditioners to enhance the learning environment for students at the schools, as well as donated books to the schools’ libraries. The initiative is expected to benefit over 800 students in the schools.
