HCMC – KIDO Group Corporation, which trades its KDC shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has announced it will pay a 6% cash dividend for 2023, with the shareholders list to be finalized on October 15.
KIDO will pay out VND174 billion in dividend for its nearly 290 million listed shares, with payments set for October 24.
The company had set a 2024 revenue target of VND13 trillion, up 50% from the 2023 results, and looks to obtain pre-tax profit of VND800 billion, 2.5 times higher than the year-ago figure.
However, for the first half of this year, the company reported a 19.3% year-on-year drop in net revenue to VND3.5 trillion, with post-tax profit plummeting 94.4% to VND31.8 billion.
Closing the trading session today, October 3, KDC edged down by 0.39% to VND51,000, with a matching volume of 628,500 shares.
Losers nearly tripled winners, at 289 to 106, sending the VN-Index down by 9.74 points, or 0.76%, to close at 1,278.1 on Thursday.
Trading volume and value improved by 35% and 31% respectively over the previous session, with more than 1.04 billion shares worth VND23.3 trillion changing hands. Block deals accounted for nearly 34 million shares valued at VND1.23 trillion.
Bank stocks attracted cash flows, with many tickers in this sector posting high trading volumes.
SHB, VPB and TPB were among the most actively traded stocks, with volumes ranging from 46.1 million to 51.5 million units each. SHB and VPB posted slight gains to end at VND10,950 and VND20,000, respectively. TPB returned to its reference price of VND17,500, but it took the lead by liquidity on the southern market.
Real estate and construction stocks weighed on the main index. VHM dropped by 4.2% to VND41,600, scraping 1.83 points from the VN-Index. Bluechip VRE slid by 2.6% to VND18,650. Other stocks in the sector, including PDR, TDC, KDH and DXG, lost 2.8% to 3.5%.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index declined 1.7 points, or 0.72%, to end at 233.35 points, with 45 stocks gaining and 110 others losing. Total trading volume on the exchange was over 70 million shares valued at VND1.3 trillion.
