HCMC – The Central Highlands province of Kon Tum was struck by a magnitude 3.7 earthquake on April 4, the Institute of Geophysics said.
The earthquake occurred in Kon Plong District, Kon Tum Province, at 2:41 p.m., at a depth of 8.1 kilometers. However, it did not pose any risk of natural disaster.
Earthquakes have been frequent in Kon Plong District since 2021. The strongest quake recorded in Kon Plong in the past century took place on August 23, 2022, measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale.
