HCMC – Bottlenecks will be removed at 106 private investment projects along the eastern coastline of Lam Dong Province.

During a meeting on March 20, provincial leaders worked directly with key departments and municipalities – including the coastal hubs of Mui Ne, Ham Kiem, and Hoa Thang – to expedite solutions for major developments such as the Thanh Long Bay resort complex and Novaland’s tourism clusters.

A report from the Department of Finance said that the primary obstacles in these coastal districts stem from delayed functional zoning. Specifically, the pending approval of the Tan Thanh coastal zoning plan has prevented investors from finalizing 1/500 detailed construction plans, effectively halting building permits.

Furthermore, inconsistent road planning and a lack of access infrastructure have left several projects stranded. Beyond legal frameworks, land compensation remains a “tough nut to crack,” as developers struggle with inflated price demands and complex ownership records in the transition period.

In response to corporate grievances, Nguyen Minh, vice chairman of the Lam Dong People’s Committee, issued a strict mandate to accelerate the approval of the 1/2000 Tan Thanh-Tan Thuan coastal zoning plan by next month, Vietnam News Agency reported. He also directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to grant land-use extensions for projects affected by “force majeure” or objective hurdles during the administrative merger.
