HCMC – The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong Province has proposed allocating more than VND1.1 trillion for a series of resettlement projects for the 2026-2030 period.

The projects are part of the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

The plan includes three projects in Nam Da, Nam Nung, and Dam Rong 4 communes, with a budget of VND135 billion to support 264 households. Another project, valued at VND37.5 billion, will help relocate 90 households in Quang Lap Commune, a particularly disadvantaged area.

Around VND170 billion is proposed for resettlement projects covering 1,995 households in border communes, including Dak Wil, Thuan An, Thuan Hanh, Tuy Duc, and Quang Truc.

In addition, 14 projects totaling VND767 billion aim to resettle 4,520 households that have migrated freely to ethnic and mountainous areas. These projects will be implemented in communes such as Dak Mil, Dam Rong 2, Nam Dong, Cu Jut, Quang Phu, Quang Hoa, Ta Dung, Krong No, Dak Song, Tuy Duc, and Truong Xuan.

The department has also proposed measures to ensure effective implementation of these projects and other sub-projects under the national target program for ethnic and mountainous regions during the 2026-2030 phase.
