HCMC – Border gates in Lang Son Province processed more than 362,600 cargo trucks carrying import and export goods in the first eight months of 2025, up 31.8% from a year earlier.

Total trade through the province reached over US$58 billion, a 43% year-on-year increase, the Vietnam News Agency reported. Fee collections from infrastructure and public service facilities at the border gates rose 33% to more than VND622 billion.

Customs clearance was busiest at Huu Nghi, Tan Thanh, and Chi Ma international border gates. Authorities have deployed round-the-clock staff to maintain stable operations.

At Tan Thanh, all trucks now submit customs declarations online before arrival. Customs authorities said the system has cut clearance times to one or two minutes per shipment, compared with five to seven minutes under manual checks.
