HCMC – Liverpool legend and former midfielder Patrik Berger will grace the finals of the 2024 Standard Chartered Cup, where he will interact with fans and present the championship trophy to the winning teams.
The finals are set for August 24 at Gia Dinh Stadium, 2A Phan Chu Trinh, Ward 12, Binh Thanh District. The event will also feature freestyle football star Do Kim Phuc as a special guest.
The male football team from FPT Software and the female football team from Sunhouse Group, both winners of the northern regional qualifiers, have advanced to the upcoming finals in HCMC.
The winning teams will be rewarded with a trip to the United Kingdom, where they will attend a live Liverpool FC match and tour Anfield Stadium, with all expenses covered by Standard Chartered Bank.
The 2024 Standard Chartered Cup has seen the highest participation in its past six seasons, with a total of 55 teams competing. Notably, this year’s tournament includes both men’s and women’s competitions for the first time.
Since its inception in 2012, this amateur tournament, organized by Standard Chartered, has been held in various markets where the bank operates, aiming to connect and celebrate the passion for football among the bank’s clients and employees.
