HCMC – Domestic retail fuel prices were revised up by around VND600 per liter or kilogram at 3 p.m. today, January 11, according to an announcement jointly released by the ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance.
The bio-fuel RON92 price rose VND600 per liter to VND23,150, while RON95 petrol is now priced at VND23,870 per liter, up VND580.
The retail prices of diesel oil and kerosene also increased by VND660 per liter to VND18,230 and VND620 per liter to VND17,130, respectively. The price of heavy fuel oil was adjusted up by VND620 per kilogram to VND16,360.
Overall, this is the second straight time since the end of December last year that local fuel prices soared sharply.
During this fuel price adjustment, local fuel traders were not allowed to tap the national fuel price stabilization fund.
Meanwhile, the ministries decided to charge buyers VND100 for each liter of bio-fuel E5 RON92 and VND450 for each liter of RON95 petrol to replenish the fund. The extraction levels of each liter or kilogram of oil products are VND100-500.
