LPBank to pay 25% cash dividend for 2024

HCMC – LPBank has announced that it will on May 20 finalize the list of shareholders eligible for its 2024 cash dividend payment at 25%, equivalent to VND2,500 per share.

The ex-dividend date is May 19, and the cash dividend is scheduled to be paid on May 26.

With almost three billion outstanding shares, the lender plans to allocate around VND7.47 trillion for the cash dividend distribution.

This marks LPBank’s highest dividend payment since its listing on the HOSE and far exceeds the 18% rate approved at its 2024 annual general meeting.

Closing the trading session today, May 8, LPB rose by 2.64% day-on-day to VND33,050, with more than 3.8 million shares changing hands.

The VN-Index gained 19.43 points, or 1.55%, to close at 1,269.8, with 230 stocks advancing and only 92 declining on the HOSE.

Market liquidity improved, with more than 806.2 million shares traded, totaling nearly VND19.1 trillion, up 6% in volume and 11% in value from the previous session. Block deals contributed over 21.4 million shares worth VND705.6 billion.

VIC was the session’s standout, hitting the daily ceiling with a 7% surge to VND78,500, the highest level in nearly three years. It also made the largest single contribution to the VN-Index, adding nearly five points.

Several other bluechips also extended gains, with GVR hitting the ceiling, up 6.8% to VND26,550. PLX followed with a 6.6% rise to VND35,700, while BCM climbed 5.1% to VND60,000.

At the close, the HNX saw 89 advancers and 66 decliners. The HNX-Index rose 1.77 points, or 0.83%, to 215.18. Trade volume totaled over 50.8 million shares, with a value of VND904.1 billion.
