HCMC – Danish garment manufacturer LTP Group – Asia has inaugurated its newly renovated, solar-powered factory in HCMC.
The factory’s new solar power system now supplies around 35.8% of its electricity needs and reduces carbon emissions by roughly 482 tons per year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Danish Ambassador Nicolai Prytz said switching to green energy and sustainable production gives Vietnam a competitive advantage in the global economy.
“We are proud to see Danish companies like LEGO, Pandora, and today LTP leading the way and proving that responsibility and business success can go hand in hand. This solar-powered factory is a great example of businesses embracing sustainability and the strong partnership between our two countries,” Pryzt added.
Vietnam and Denmark established their Green Strategic Partnership (GSP) in November 2023 to deepen collaboration in sustainability, innovation, and inclusive growth. The GSP focuses on areas such as clean energy, climate resilience, food safety, and education, aligning with Vietnam’s goal of building a low-carbon and circular economy.
Trade and investment form key pillars of the partnership. More than 150 Danish companies are currently operating in Vietnam, providing green technologies and sustainable business models to support the country’s decarbonization efforts.
