HCMC – Halong International Passenger Port has played host to a pair of cruise ships, welcoming over 3,300 guests from Europe and the U.S. who are set to explore the scenic beauty of Halong Bay and other popular destinations in Quang Ninh Province.
The Celebrity Solstice, a cruise ship flying the Malta flag under the management of Celebrity Cruises, made a port call in Halong City on November 13, having 2,683 passengers on board.
Upon disembarking in Quang Ninh, visitors took various tours, including visits to the Quang Ninh Museum, cultural and culinary excursions, and exploration of Halong City’s diverse attractions. Departing for Hong Kong at 5 p.m. on November 14, the Celebrity Solstice concluded its visit.
The Regatta, another upscale cruise ship flagged with the Marshall Islands, docked at Halong International Passenger Port on November 14, bringing 700 guests from Europe and the U.S. After exploring Halong, the ship is slated to visit other ports across the country, including Tien Sa, Chan May, Nha Trang and Saigon.
In the final two months of this year, 16 cruise ships have registered to dock at Halong International Passenger Port to visit Halong Bay and tourist sites in Quang Ninh Province. These port calls will contribute to the increase in international tourist arrivals to Quang Ninh and Vietnam as a whole, especially during the low season for local tourists.
