ThirdHome, the global luxury home exchange network for second-home owners, announced plans to expand in Vietnam as part of its Southeast Asian growth strategy, citing the country’s rising demand for luxury real estate and travel.

Founded in 2010, the U.S.-based company operates the world’s largest private network of vacation homes, with more than 20,000 properties across 100 countries.

Valued between US$500,000 and US$50 million, the homes include castles, penthouses, yachts, and branded residences. Members contribute unused weeks at their second homes in exchange for access to stays in properties worldwide.

ThirdHome has facilitated over 50,000 exchanges and received more than 20,000 five-star reviews. Partnerships with brands such as Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton Destination Club, and Hyatt Vacation Club have bolstered its global collection.

Vietnam has been identified as a key growth market. The company’s current portfolio comprises 12 properties, including beachfront villas at Six Senses Con Dao and residences in Hoi An, with plans for expansion following its official launch.

Founder and CEO Wade Shealey said Vietnam’s growing number of affluent residents made it an attractive destination. “Membership gives discerning travellers the freedom to explore the world without being tied to one location year after year,” he said.

Industry data shows Vietnam accounts for 41% of Asia’s upcoming branded residences supply, while its luxury travel market is forecast to grow 6.5% annually from 2025 to 2033.
