Making knowledge accessible for disadvantaged children

Must read

For several years on end, Skyline Architects has joined a special annual philanthropist journey to support disadvantaged people in poverty-stricken areas across the country. The 2030 Caravan Tour, organized by the 2030 Business Club under the Saigon Times Club, has become a widely-known journey of love, bringing joy, hope and confidence for poor people in remote areas, especially education support for children.

“Equipping children with knowledge will help them explore the world and bring into play their capacity and potential, allowing them to confidently integrate themselves into the community,” said a representative of Skyline Architects in remarks about the company’s efforts to improve education for poor children in upland areas.

On April 29, 2023, Skyline Architects joined the 2030 Caravan Tour as the gold sponsor of a special charity program titled “Accompanying children to school” taking place in the northern upland province of Ha Giang, contributing the largest share in the total donation worth over VND2 billion to children at Lao Chai Primary and Secondary School in Ha Giang Province’s Vi Xuyen District.

Specifically, the charity tour donated 612 sets of gifts comprising learning utensils, clothes, Casio calculators, and school bags among others to school children there. In addition, the benefactors also donated 30 sets of computers, 30 pairs of earphones, loudspeakers, and 30 sets of tables and chairs to the school.

As part of the charity tour, the philanthropists also dropped by five other schools in the district, donating five sets of computers for each school plus VND3 million for five students from families with extreme hardships.

“It is our pleasure to join the charity tour bringing along compassion to underprivileged people, brightening hopes for children thirsty for knowledge in the country’s Northwest region,” said the representative of Skyline Architects. Children in remote areas grow up in extreme difficulties, and apart from helping their families in farming, they have to cross hills and springs to attend school to obtain knowledge, according to the company.

For the purpose of making knowledge more accessible to underprivileged children, Skyline Architects has regularly joined charity tours with generous donations to improve education in upland areas.

Earlier, in August 2022, Skyline Architects teamed up with the 2030 Business Club to donate a standard library to An Hao Primary School in An Giang Province’s Tinh Bien District, a school that clings to Cam Mountain close to the border with Cambodia. The donation, apart from a reading room, included desks, bookshelves, desktop computers, and over 2,000 book titles for children.

Caring for underprivileged children has long been a focus in Skyline Architects’ charity activities. Most recently, the company on September 27, 2023 visited Go Vap Center for Cultivation and Sponsorship of Children in Go Vap District, and donated 17 sets of gifts to children there. The company recently has also awarded scholarships to outstanding students in Haiphong City’s Thuy Nguyen District, repaired or rebuilt houses for poor families in Daknong, and provided financial support to pagodas taking care of poor children in the Mekong Delta among others.

“Today’s children are tomorrow’s world, so Skyline Architects will regularly organize or join charity programs to take care of underprivileged children, which will be integrated into our action plans,” said the company’s representative.
