HCMC – Authorities have urgently evacuated 29 households with 108 members in Hoa Binh’s Cao Son Commune due to a landslide risk after a large crack was found on Ao Ech hill.

On the afternoon of September 16, Nguyen Van Toan, standing vice chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Committee, along with a delegation, conducted a site inspection in Rang Hamlet, Cao Son Commune, Da Bac District.

Local authorities reported that the crack on Ao Ech hill, located behind Rang village, poses a significant landslide threat to the residential area and the village’s school. To ensure student safety, classes at the village’s primary and preschool have been suspended.

Previously, in preparation for typhoon Yagi, grassroots authorities in Cao Son Commune inspected disaster-prone areas and moved households from Lanh, Sung, and Tam hamlets to safer areas.
