A new Mediterranean-inspired dining venue, Mediterra Restaurant & Bar, has opened in HCMC, introducing a concept that blends Southern European culinary traditions with the city’s contemporary dining culture.

Drawing influence from France, Italy, Spain and Greece, Mediterra presents a menu centered on fresh seafood, wood-fired meats, seasonal produce and premium olive oils. The restaurant aims to reinterpret classic Mediterranean flavors with modern techniques while emphasizing simplicity and high-quality ingredients.

Designed to evoke the atmosphere of seaside towns, the space features sun-washed stone, blue accents and warm oak details. The venue accommodates up to 125 guests across three areas: a light-filled ground floor with arched windows, a mezzanine for smaller gatherings and an open-air terrace intended for evening drinks.

The kitchen is led by Chef Carter Tran, whose background includes Park Hyatt Saigon and several Sydney establishments. Guided by an ingredient-driven philosophy, he aims to deliver dishes that showcase craftsmanship and shared dining experiences.

Mediterra operates under Mai House Hotels & Resorts and positions itself as a retreat within the city, offering a blend of Mediterranean elegance and Saigon’s creative energy.
