HCMC – Besides Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the Ministers of Health, Education-Training, Planning-Investment and Labor-Invalids-Social Affairs will participate in question-and-answer sessions at the ongoing National Assembly’s (NA) second sitting.
The Q&A sessions will last for two-and-a-half days, on November 10 and 11 and on the morning of November 12. PM Chinh will have 90 minutes to deliver a socio-economic report and answer questions from NA deputies on November 12, the local media reported.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long will field questions on the anti-Covid fight; vaccine strategies; the management of Covid-19 testing services, medicines, medical equipment and test kits; the improvement of medical checkup and treatment services; and the training and policies for medical workers.
Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung will cover questions about the implementation of relief packages for those affected by the pandemic; the protection of the rights of children, especially those orphaned by the pandemic; and the exodus of migrant workers from HCMC and the southern key economic provinces.
He will also talk about solutions to eliminate the difficulties of the labor market, attract laborers back to work and provide jobs for the unemployed.
In addition, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son will answer questions about measures to ensure the quality of teaching and learning activities, especially online learning, and fundamental reforms in education and training amid Covid-19.
He will also reveal plans to narrow the education gap in urban and rural areas, especially remote and mountainous areas, ensure safety in schools and organize the national high school exam amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Additionally, questions will be thrown at Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung on measures to speed up the economic recovery and development in the new situation, solutions to remove the obstacles facing enterprises, the mid-term public investment plan in the 2021-2025 period and in 2021, as well as the disbursement of public investment for key national projects.
