HCMC – World-renowned Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter and trainer Daniel Vinni and his wife, Hoang Kristyna, have donated a negative pressure room to help the south central province of Binh Thuan respond to Covid-19.
The room, worth VND650 million (US$27,800), was produced by German industrial machinery manufacturer Deconta and has been installed at Binh Thuan Hospital of Traditional Medicine, according to Phap Luat Online.
Last month, Vinni and his wife vacationed at the Cham Villas Resort in Mui Ne, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province. His wife’s family sent them money to buy a car. However, they decided to travel by motorbike and used the money to purchase a negative pressure room for the Binh Thuan Province Department of Health.
Used in hospitals and medical centers to prevent cross infection, the negative pressure room is particularly crucial for Covid-19 treatment.
The 33-year-old British MMA fighter is famous for his leg lock technique, one of the most dangerous skills in MMA. He has won 16 matches during his professional MMA career.
