HCMC – Vietnam Railways will add more passenger trains to meet higher travel demand during the Hung Kings death anniversary (the 10th day of the third lunar month, or April 26), Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1).
Since the Hung Kings death anniversary day this year falls on a Sunday (April 26), officials and employees of state agencies will have one more day off on the following day (April 27). After they come back to work on April 28 and 29, they will enjoy another holiday on April 30 and May 1.
The railway sector will deploy additional short-distance trains on several routes alongside existing services, including those linking HCMC and the tourist destinations of Quy Nhon and Nha Trang.
On the Saigon-Quy Nhon route, Train SE30 will depart from Saigon Station in HCMC on April 24, 25, 29, 30 and May 1. On the return trip, Train SE29 will depart from Quy Nhon Station in Gia Lai Province on April 26, 27, 30, and May 2 and 3.
Meanwhile, Train SNT4 will run on the Saigon–Nha Trang route on April 24, 29 and 30, with an additional SNT6 service on April 29. Extra trains will also operate on the return leg, including Train SNT5 departing from Nha Trang between April 27 and May 3, while Train SNT3 will enter service on May 5.
During the peak season, passengers are advised to arrive at the station 30 to 60 minutes before departure to avoid missing their trains. In addition, luggage should be light, not exceeding 20 kilograms, and kept under personal supervision. Compliance with all railway regulations is mandatory, including not carrying prohibited items.
