HCMC – Motorola Solutions yesterday announced opened a new research and development (R&D) center in HCMC, where data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies will be developed for Motorola’s safety and security ecosystem.
The R&D center will focus on creating solutions that enhance public safety by connecting individuals to crucial information and prioritizing human attention during emergencies.
These solutions include AI-powered camera systems, sensors, and vehicle detection technologies that feed into command centers, improving decision-making and accelerating emergency response.
“Data analytics and AI play an important role in this process, rapidly and accurately analyzing data to alert a human when something important happens for further investigation,” said Mahesh Saptharishi, Motorola Solutions’ executive vice president and chief technology officer.
The opening marks Motorola Solutions’ continued investment in the Asia Pacific region, with existing locations in Penang (Malaysia), Bangalore, and Kolkata (India).
