HCMC – The Inspectorate of Dong Nai Province has uncovered numerous violations and identified existing limitations in the planning, appraisal, approval, and adjustment of construction plans across the province, according to local media reports.

The Inspectorate has issued Conclusion No. 59 on urban planning and implementation, with input from the Dong Nai Department of Construction and Industrial Park Management Board. Notably, many shortcomings in the management of construction in these industrial zones were identified.

The Dong Nai Industrial Park Management Board inspected only 346 out of 1,933 construction permits (about 20% of the issued permits) from 2015 to 2022, failing to meet provincial People’s Committee regulations.

Consequently, unauthorized construction by Y.C.T Trading and Services Company at Ho Nai Industrial Zone was not detected promptly.

From 2015 to 2022, the management board issued 1,933 construction permits to businesses within the industrial zones. However, during the inspections of 346 construction permits, 71 cases of unauthorized construction by businesses were discovered.

When the Inspectorate examined seven construction permit files, they found that one company had put its project into operation in June 2022 without having its permit files inspected and approved by the authorities.

The Inspectorate of Dong Nai Province recommended that the chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee instruct the Industrial Park Management Board to clarify the reasons and conduct disciplinary actions against organizations and individuals violating regulations.
