HCMC – The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee convened its 54th session on the morning of February 3 to review two key resolutions, including one on special mechanisms and policies for investment in the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.
According to the NA Office, the session will open with remarks by NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man and will be chaired alternately by the chairman and vice chairpersons of the National Assembly, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
At the meeting, the Standing Committee is scheduled to consider and approve a resolution supplementing special mechanisms and policies for the investment and construction of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.
The second resolution concerns the second adjustment to the structure, composition and number of candidates nominated by central and local agencies and organizations for the 16th National Assembly.
As part of its oversight agenda, the Standing Committee will also review a report on voter petitions and public concerns submitted to the National Assembly in January 2026.
