HCMC – The five-star Costa Serena cruise ship has arrived in Halong City, bringing nearly 3,500 Chinese tourists to explore Halong Bay and other attractions in the area.
The ship, which departed from Hong Kong, docked at the Halong International Passenger Port this morning, September 30, carrying 3,477 passengers and 1,000 crew members. The tourists will be split into smaller groups to visit Halong Bay and various tourist sites across the city.
According to a representative from the Halong International Passenger Port, the Costa Serena is one of the largest passenger vessels to visit the city this year, marking the start of the sea tourism season in Quang Ninh Province, which runs from November to April.
Halong City is expecting between 60 and 70 cruise ships to arrive this year, bringing around 70,000 visitors in total.
