HCMC – Bach Dang 2 Bridge spanning the Dong Nai River was opened to traffic today, September 2, providing a new link between the southern provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai.

The bridge is expected to enhance economic activity and improve transportation in the region. It connects Vinh Cuu District in Dong Nai Province and Tan Uyen City in Binh Duong Province.

With an investment of nearly VND500 billion, Bach Dang 2 Bridge stretches over three kilometers, including the main span and approach roads. Construction started in late 2021 but faced delays due to land clearance issues and the Covid-19 pandemic.

The bridge enhances connection between the southeastern region and crucial infrastructure  facilities, including the under-construction Long Thanh International Airport and the Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep-water port.
