HCMC – New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) has expanded its “Made with Care” campaign in Vietnam, partnering with major local retailer Bach Hoa Xanh to bring more premium New Zealand food and beverage products to the country.
As part of the campaign, Bach Hoa Xanh Tam Vu and Bach Hoa Xanh Cong Quynh stores will distribute New Zealand-imported products, following earlier partnerships with Winmart, Central Retail, and Kingfood Mart.
Speaking to The Saigon Times, Scott James, New Zealand’s Consul General and Trade Commissioner in Vietnam, noted the campaign coincides with 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
James added that Vietnam is already a key market for New Zealand’s premium agricultural and F&B exports, ranking just behind China. “Vietnam’s interest in health and wellness continues to grow, and we see strong long-term potential,” he said.
Bach Hoa Xanh Director of Fruit Purchasing Dau Nhu Anh said the collaboration would increase product variety, build supply chain transparency, and deliver greater value to Vietnamese consumers.
Launched in 2021, the “Made with Care” campaign promotes New Zealand’s food exports through a focus on premium quality, food safety, sustainability and ethical production. New Zealand brands featured in the campaign include Bostock, Fonterra, Freshco, Golden Bay Fruit, RD8, Rockit Global, T&G, Valley Fresh, and Zespri.
According to NZTE, food and beverage products account for 77% of New Zealand’s total exports to Vietnam in 2024, valued at NZ$718 million.
