HCMC – Nghe An Province has announced a master plan for a 618-hectare high-tech forestry zone in Vietnam’s North Central region, with development scheduled through 2045.
The project will be located in four communes—Bach Ha, Van Kieu, Phuc Loc, and Dong Loc—and divided into three functional areas, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
The first area, covering 48 hectares, will be a center for high-tech forestry plant breeding. The second, at 530 hectares, will be used for wood production and processing, including non-timber forest products. The third, spanning 40 hectares, will serve as a trading floor and exhibition site for processed wood and forest products.
The provincial government said it will support investment by easing administrative procedures, providing land and infrastructure access, and offering incentives for science, technology, and workforce training. Trade promotion and international cooperation will also be prioritized, according to the report.
